Universal Laws: The Law of Polarity

I am all about core thinking. My belief is nothing happens until we have a thought. To truly understand this, an awareness of the universal law of polarity helps to ease one’s life into a way of being that creates a fulfilling existence.

We can equate opposites to every word.

Hot/Cold
Love/Hate
Up/Down
And so on….

These are the basics everyone is aware of and knows. However, going beyond what we know and diving into the unknown can be liberating.

How often does your mind go in circles? For many people, it can be an everlasting daily experience.

How often do you take a moment to shift a negative thought to a positive thought? Probably not very often. Instead the negative thinking snowballs and gets a grip on the psyche. This leads to altercations, conflict (internally and externally) and it soon becomes difficult to let go. Then days, sometimes years, go by and there is still an attachment to the original thought.

How many times have you thought you heard something one way and later find out it was different than you heard it? I am guessing more often than you would like to admit. In these situations, we either must apologize and swallow our pride, or we may try to justify our belief of what we heard still accusing the other person of being wrong.

The Law of Polarity states for anything to exist, there must be an equal and exact opposite. So, if there is a negative thought, there must be a positive thought available to replace it.

Until I began to study and gain a greater awareness of how this law works, thoughts would come and go, others sticking around longer than planned. The negative thinking never feels good, and I wanted to find ways to overcome mind loops and the heaviness of negative thoughts.

In the world of polarity, the scale from positive to negative and negative to positive can be short or long. That depends on you. How long do you want to stay on one side or the other? Life has its way of tipping the scale for many reasons, (another musing is needed to explain this) then it is up to us to tip it back.

Nirvana is a great idea, but universal laws are at work 24/7, and no matter how much we always strive to be in our happy place, it is nearly impossible to be there all the time. Therefore, recognizing there will be ups and downs, sideways and diagonal trips along the pathway of life, the key is how we manage it.

Thought for the day:
Next time you encounter a negative thought, whether you create it yourself or another person creates it for you through their behavior, start practicing immediately (or as soon as possible) replacing it with positive thinking. We can choose how our life is lived, just for today choose to see the world as an amazing place filled with potential and possibilities.

  1. Eileen, words to ponder for sure. In our daily lives we makes choices good and bad, and so it is with balancing what is positive and negative for our daily living. I agree ? that we need to act quickly when something or someone has thrown us a negative that disruptes our lives or thoughts. In the same sense, passing on to others the importance of being positive over negative.

    • The Law of Polarity is definitely something that has a way of pushing us to make choices, with guidance to create positive outcomes. As you have said, balancing what is positive and negative for daily living. In my experience, it takes conscious effort to recognize when the negative polarity has appeared in my life for the purpose of my learning, strengthening and/or becoming more aware. The disruption seems to have a purpose and we have the ability to minimize and/or eliminate most of those disruptions.

I apologize for the late reply, for some reason I never saw this. I am curious if you have thought about what I have written and care to share any insights you may have. Cheers! Eileen

  2. The Law of Polarity states for anything to exist, there must be an equal and exact opposite. So, if there is a negative thought, there must be a positive thought available to replace it…….It is amazing how simple it is to be kind to each other yet we seem to always find ways to prevent strong relationships. Great musing for today. Strong Ink with a dash of sage advice. Thank you my friend.

    • You are welcome Larry! With the foundation of everything I do centered around core thinking, this is probably the most important. Seems to be a very difficult and challenging shift for people to attain. The mind holds onto so much and the ego wants to protect us, so moving out of negative thinking and into positive thinking is an art. Takes practice, lots of it, along with understanding the Law of Polarity.

    • Great insight, Eileen. The law of polarity or opposites is innately manifested in nature. We as humans often struggle with our own mindsets in overcoming negativity. But I believe it is possible to be positive by envisioning it. Once the mind crystallizes the vision, then the law of attraction makes it a reality.

    • Rajat,
Yes, overcoming negativity can be a struggle due to various reasons. Some of the more prevalent ones are fear and uncertainty of cause & effect. Many times I have chosen not to address the negative at one point, but if the same experience presents itself and I choose to respond differently (having worked through any concerns of other’s reactions) the outcome surprisingly is different/better than expected. Agree, envisioning positive is a first step and one of the most important. Through the connection we have in the thought/vision, it becomes “real” and unfolds into physical reality. We can actually test this process and I am always amazed at the flow of the power of our thought and/or vision into a new experience.

Hope you find more positive coming into your life and keep a vision of what you want in the forefront! Cheers! Eileen
