Just Be
The mind wanders….
The heart hardens….
The world crushes….
And
The mind creates….
The heart softens…
The world is full of opportunity…
Can you just be?
In my few short years of being a part of the world as we know it, from the 1960s through the 2000s, I have learned a lot about life, myself and others. One thing that stands out is if I spend time just being my authentic self, with no worries of the future, no attachments to the past and confidence of my current experiences, life seems to have a magnetic flow.
The Beatles song, Let It Be, comes to mind.
When I find myself in times of trouble, Mother Mary comes to me
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be
And in my hour of darkness, she is standing right in front of me
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be
I am not sure there is any person of the 8+ billion people in the world who has not had some trial or tribulation in life. We all have our story, our path. Listen for the wisdom that whispers in the wind, whether it is in the quiet of being still or from the words through another.
Let it be, let it be, let it be, let it be
Whisper words of wisdom, let it be
And when the broken-hearted people living in the world agree
There will be an answer, let it be
For though they may be parted, there is still a chance that they will see
There will be an answer, let it be
Our quest to find answers for why things occur keeps us seeking and searching opening many doors. Some we find locked; others easily swing open. What we want to know comes in the middle of the night or when we are in solitude. Just be….
And when the night is cloudy there is still a light that shines on me
Shine until tomorrow, let it be
I wake up to the sound of music, Mother Mary comes to me
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be
I believe there is a light, for all of us to see. It shines brightly when we are unencumbered by life’s misery. To build a foundation that is solid and with the strength to withstand the forces beyond our control, learning for growth and transformation. Just be…
Eileen,
Like the way you have analogised the Beatles song. Looking beyond self to have a’ magnetic flow of life’ is a brilliant thought.
The logical mind needs the ‘why’ and the spiritual the ‘wonder’. In ‘The Logical Song’, a line goes like “Please tell me who I am, who I am, …” . All humanity seeks the answer to this question in life and perhaps in and after death.
But, the esoteric opine – you are all knowledge, joy and bliss for you are the indestructible soul beyond the realms of life and death.
Keep Shining …
I believe there is a light, for all of us to see. It shines brightly when we are unencumbered by life’s misery. This says it all. Be calm, be bold and walk toward the light. Well done Eileen.
Thank you Larry!
