Universal Laws: The Law of Polarity
Everything in life has opposites:
Yin/Yang
Good/Bad
Feminine/Masculine
Hot/Cold
Happiness/Sadness
And so on….
Both are on the same spectrum, just opposite ends. When it comes to our daily life, we can fluctuate from one end to the other if we are not adept at keeping balanced. Anger can throw us way off, fear can stall us at one end, joy can tip us to the other side, happiness can keep us from tilting backwards on the scale.
Why is it important to understand the Law of Polarity?
Having a better awareness of the true meaning of opposites, you can make conscious decisions taking you in a direction that feels good. Either your experiences feel good or it does not. There is no in-between, other than degrees within the range you settle into.
Some scientific background:
The Law of Polarity states: “Everything can be separated into two wholly opposite parts, and that each of those still contains the potentiality of the other.”
No event is only awesome or only tragic, it is impossible to have one without the other. If we have an experience that is challenging, at some point we move past it and soon find ourselves happy again.
When positive and negative come together it becomes light, which is a representation of love. Leading scientists in physics have observed light behaving in different ways, therefore, it is described as colliding particles causing a cancellation of each (negatively charged particle and positively charged electron) with the result being something more beautiful, light.
So, how does this apply to me, you may ask?
Glad you asked!
When we have negative feelings or emotions, they are seeking to be conjoined with a positive feeling or emotion for the tension to be relieved. The center of polarity is the highest level of feeling good, however, you may describe that for yourself. Therefore, we are always striving (consciously or unconsciously) to keep balance in the middle of the spectrum and the best way to do that is to realign your thinking.
If you feel sad, change your thoughts to happy.
If you feel angry, change your thoughts to joy.
If you feel jealousy, change your thoughts to trust.
If you feel stressed, change your thoughts to relaxed.
The action of change gives you the opportunity to redirect the cause and effect of where are to where you want to be.
Every adversity, every failure, and every heartache carries with it the seed of an equivalent or greater benefit.
–Napoleon Hill, author of Think And Grow Rich
There are ways to master the Law of Polarity, so it works in your favor.
- Look for good in every experience, no matter how challenging it may be at this time.
- What you think attracts the same. So, thinking positively as much as possible will relieve the mind, bringing clarity and better decision making.
- Believe in the possible and that there is cooperation from the world around you.
- See the blessing in disguise when there is a not so feel-good experience.
- Be aware of your perspective. Is it causing you to see/feel good or bad?
As you move forward in your life journey, remember the many Universal Laws. I have shared with you the Law of Oneness and now the Law of Polarity. As the laws are presented, take some time to observe how they are playing out in your daily experiences. Once you understand the part they play, you can then be in the world, but not of it. Life will flow through you rather than be thrown at you.
Believe in the possible and that there is cooperation from the world around you.
Sage advice my friend.
Larry, it seems when we believe, something stirs the pot and movement occurs towards validating the belief. It’s an amazing part of life that allows us to enjoy our creations. 🙂 So, I always suggest to others, watch what you think!!!
Amazing revelations, Eileen!
‘What you think attracts the same.’
Looks like the universe conspires to keep all of us happy. Our own negative thoughts invite adversity. We need to realize this more than ever.
Rajat, it seems that is the case….the universe conspires to keep us happy. If we pay attention to what happens in positive thinking vs. negative thinking, we realize how much we play a part in the unfolding of events we can control. As well as, bringing in the potential for more of the same. It takes practice, but once understood, then it begins to become unnecessary to have negative thoughts. Let me know if you practice and what you discover!
