Making Change Stick

Change is easy to identify, excruciating to implement and likely to fail. In fact, 70% or more change initiatives fail. This video examines three actions leaders can take to ensure that change survives past the launch to achieve the desired goals.
While most leaders primarily focus on developing the idea into a vision or strategy, their responsibilities extend much farther. First, leaders need to develop a communication strategy and message to gain commitment to implement the change. Second, leaders need to be willing to modify their well-crafted execution plan. Falling in love with the original concept and rejecting new information derails many initiatives. Finally, leaders must recognize the value of a change ready culture. These three actions can turn improve the odds that change will stick and that our desired outcomes materialize and endure.
