I see Mama
And Baby Bear
Peeking at me
Through
Bushes
Amidst
The trees.
Awake, aware,
In awe
We stare.
Your sweet
Faces etched
In my internal
Flash drive.
You remind
Me how
Delightful it
Is to be alive.
I hear
Branches breaking
Ahead of us
Papa emerges
Large and lumbering
I wonder
If you’ll find
Those bees
Humming.
Tailgating
In the back
Of the Jeep
Mama and Baby
snack
It’s football
Season
Time to live
Off the beaten
Track.
Now peering in
Our porch window
I’m in the
Zoo.
For we are
In your woods
Of glorious leaves
and glistening dew.
Baby bear
Romps solo,
Poses,
Climbs steps
I smile,
Breathe,
Click photos
Look for
Mama
Nowhere in
Sight…yet!
Not in
Kansas anymore
With my little
Dog, too.
Childlike
Joy envelops
And holds
with glitter glue.
Gleeful and Giddy
Like
Grown-Up Goldilocks
Living in a
House of Joy
On this magical mountain
With her
Sexy Silver Fox.
