I wonder if a healthy

Self-aware love

Will wander into a

Life filled with past

Heartbreak, traumas, and

Transformations.

Am I whole enough

And brave enough to

Receive an enduring

Tenderness, softness,

Affection, and generous

Spirit?

Have I cultivated

Enough self-love

Self-Worth to even begin

To match yours?

Love attracts love.

Like attracts like.

Whole intersects with whole

To find the intersection of us.

Our love aligns with our

Internal and external ways of

Processing the world

In our values, our deep

Listening, sharing,

Our humor and laughter

Our six languages.

In your eyes I see myself

All the way down and inside out

I feel your peace and dignity

Your confidence and grace

Because I embrace my own.

Lovely heart butterflies land softly

On this hand

That gives away

Quiet kindness, compassion,

And affection with ease and

Abandon.

I didn’t require a sign

From God,

Yet I receive one

With delight, surprise, and

An overflowing gratitude.

Love aligns

In the resilience

Of this sturdy foundation

And the lightness

Of fragile beauties

That broke free

From a puddle and a struggle

Inside a cocoon of creation.

I feel your peace and dignity

Your confidence and grace

Because I embrace my own……. When we are at peace in life it makes it easier to accept the love of others and give in return. I love this poem.
