If growing up the voice you heard most often was coming from a judgemental place rather than a loving, supportive space, it’s no surprise that the voice which has the most gravitas in your everyday thoughts, which you identify with most today, will also come from this unresourceful space.
And given the societal predilection for comparison over compassion it stands to reason that a quieter, nurturing voice, which also lives inside you, is easily ignored, overwhelmed, and subdued.
Since we also have an innate safety mechanism built in to help us to fit in, to not be ostracised from the group, thereby ensuring our survival, when we do have the courage to look outside the box and the self-belief to put those thoughts into action only to have them diminished and undermined, shut down and even shamed. We understandably think twice next time, taking a literal step back, retreating into conformity and away from our #truself
This reaction further reinforces that judging internal dialogue and as we know our energy flows where our attention goes, deepening our disassociation from that innate, intuitive guidance, so much so that many of us are no longer even aware of it, nor believe it even exists.
Yet if you stop to contemplate for a moment, its unspoken role in your daily decision-making, its enduring existence in everyday vernacular, or even a preponderance for gender-specific superpowers, it is undoubtedly very much alive and well in our collective consciousness. Always available to us should we choose to open our energy, to receive the messages we need, for our greatest good.
Like a smouldering ember on a long-forgotten fire, all it requires is a little loving attention, a patient commitment to practicing, to cultivating, and to believing and just you wait and see, what begins as a faint whisper can effervescently rekindle something ancient and potent, roaring back into your life, guiding you to uncover your higher purpose, once more attuning you with your luminescent soul, allowing your #truself to shine through.
Thank you Christine I love that take away, happy listening 🙏❤️
You’ve just confirmed my belief that a benevolent inner voice does exist and can be accessed at anytime by just quieting the noise that overpowers it. Thank you.
