I saw the light beyond the dawn and searched to find the night,
All alone and in despair, I fought for what was right,
And in due time I realized my journey took me home,
To what I knew before the days when I was all alone’.
The moments drifted ever by and sailed into a place,
Where lost in darkness I searched to find the meaning of true grace,
And You appeared in prayers I’d prayed which lifted me on high,
Far above the miseries of lonely darkened nights.
And lost within this tomb of life,
Beneath the sky filled stars,
I reach to find your hand to hold,
And take the step into His world and that which lies beyond’.
For You, dear Lord do know my walk,
Each footprint I will make,
The moments of my beating heart,
Each step I walk, each breath I take.
And in this never-ending hope,
Which searches for an anointed way,
I ask dear Lord that you will guide,
Each path that I might take today.
Once again, the words speak volumes
Thank you Lynn. I’ve often wondered if we have truly been with Him before especially when I read verses like Jeremiah 1:5 and if this is a journey we take knowing deep inside that we will either return or fail. Guess we have no alternative when it comes to one day discovering the truth! Kind of like riding Disney’s Space Mountain isn’t it!
Johnny, it’s easy to get lost in the power, meaning, and beauty of your words.
Thank you so much Joel. That means more than you realize! Love you brother….
You are welcome, Johnny. Yourself and Larry are the only attachments I still have to BC360.
Why is that?
It was time for me to go plus I needed to invest the bulk of my time working on Independent Executive Recruiting By Joel. I miss you and Larry and of course Len.
I’m sorry to hear that Joel but completely understand. I did hospitality recruiting for a while and it can be very demanding. I’ll stay in touch. J
Thank you, Johnny. I still comment on all the articles Dennis mentions my name in which also takes up way too much of my time.
Thank you buddy, I just submitted one that is more along the lines of the Dirt Roads (Of course it’s about love)
Johnny this is beautiful. Strong Ink with a large dose of grace.
Johnny – I have to agree with Larry – the grace in this poem is heartfelt – well done, my friend.
Grace is something that I have been amazed about ever since I recognized its gift from God. It is His word in silence to a broken heart, his comfort in a lost soul and powerful beyond understanding. Thank you my friend! J
Amen, brother.
