Life Is The Master Teacher

core-thinking-for-high-achievers-minSometimes we meet a person who can inspire us to understand who we are, examine our passions and look at whether we are living in a way that fits what drives us or we are holding back from living life to the fullest. VibeRW, producer, entertainer, song writer and musician has had a life journey full of extraordinary experiences, struggles, loss and success.
I had the privilege of sitting with VibeRW and talking with him about his music, his passions and his story.

EB: Tell me about how and when you became interested in music.
VibeRW: At an early age, I saw an upright piano, worn out with raggedy keys; and the moment I touched the keys I knew that is what I would be doing the rest of my life. I did not know how to play, but I sat there for hours and played it. Later when I was eleven years old, my mother bought a piano for herself, I ended up staying on it night and day. I never stopped playing…..it found me, I did not find it.

EB: How has music impacted your life?
VibeRW: It has carried me through a lot of life’s situations and circumstances. Had it not been for music, I don’t know how I would have made it through. It was my refuge; a way to tap into another level of self and a deeper part of me. It is how I have survived; music is the tool I have to keep the peace and balance in my life.
EB: What are some of the highlights of your career in music?
VibeRW: My cousin believed in me and kept telling me I could do it. There was something in me that thought….music is what I do. In the beginning, he encouraged me to stop telling people I did not know how to play, told me “you are a piano player!” He made me start seeing and visualizing that which I was intimidated to visualize. I did not see myself there yet. He saw something in me I did not see in myself. My cousin wanted me to believe in it and that changed my whole life.

    • Yes Larry! Glad you liked this interview. VIBE is a great person and musician and we do what we can to assist him in sharing his talents…

  1. Inspiration can come from the fictitious world too. How many people were inspired by the Superman, King Arthur or even Lex Luthor? Some feel these characters are more real to them than real people. You dig deep enough and you will find that the fictitious stories that we heard as children have a strong influence on who we are today.

    • Chris, so true! I believe we live vicariously through ficticious characters because they represent a part of us. Seeing their strengths, struggles, joys, sorrows and triumphs gives validation to our own trials, tribulations and successes. A mirror of real life played on the big screen….Eileen

    • From a ’60 cartoon I watched so many years ago…

Hercules, hero of song and story.
      Hercules, winner of ancient glory.
      Fighting for the right,
      Fighting with his might,
With the strength of ten, ordinary men.

Hercules, people are safe when near him.
Hercules, only the evil fear him.
      Softness in his eyes,
      Iron in his thighs,
      Virtue in his heart,
      Fire in every part,
      Of the Mighty Hercules.

    • Carol, thank you! VibeRW is an amazing person and I agree, a great example in owning our aspirations. I believe he would say look within and find your inner spark, then take the steps to achieve your dreams. BTW: I have passed along your question to him and as soon as he gives me his response I will share it with you. It will be nice to know what he would say.

    • You are welcome! As soon as I hear back from him I will let you know. Glad you like my answer (smiling). Have a wonderful day!
