How do your employees work together? Do they work as a unit or is it like having individuals that can’t get in sync no matter what is going on? If the latter is true, then you need to do everything in your power to change this as soon as you can. A team that isn’t working like a team is never going to be beneficial to a business. Make Big Decisions Together

The first thing that you are going to need to encourage is your team making the bigger choices together. It’s often hard to get a unanimous vote which is why this is not necessarily what you need.  You just need some notion of democracy so that if the majority of people vote one way, this is the way that is chosen. It’s the best way to be fair, and show that nobody is getting favoritism in the company. 

Open Office Space

Another thing that you are going to need to do if you want your team to work together properly is to open up the office space. You don’t want people hiding behind closed doors and shut away from everyone else, so having an open plan area is for the best. 

Some people won’t like this at first because it means less privacy, but the team should be working together anyway so it’s something they will all get used to. One of the biggest benefits of open spaces is that it’s easier to communicate and bounce ideas off of each other. 

As well as this, if everyone is in the same space it’s much easier to fix issues such as problems with the heating or air conditioning. You can put electric portable heaters in the office area to keep it warm and toasty so that everyone can benefit, rather than a few people being warm behind closed doors. 

Team Building Days

Finally, have you thought about having team building days for your employees? Set up these days and tell them it’s mandatory to go so that they have to learn to trust each other. Teams are based on trust, and if the team doesn’t trust each other then nothing is going to work during day to day operations.

You can either do these at your business office, or you can hire out a venue and get a little more creative. As long as they end up trusting each other at the end of it, everything will have worked out fine.
