The end of the year is approaching too soon, and it can be scary, especially if we have left so much to do last minute. Can you relate?
For some of us, we are already jumping into the upcoming holiday season, and tend to slow down a bit to celebrate our and our teams’ professional accomplishments, in addition to catching up on time with friends and family over great food and conversation.
But most of us are facing end of the year reviews and reflections not only to see how well we did throughout the year, what we learned, and what we could do better, but also to evaluate how well our leaders performed and where they are taking us in the future.
It is hard not to think: What did we learn in recent years? Are we ready and well positioned for New Years’ goals and success? Is the new year going to be even better? What can we do differently? Do we have everything we need to achieve desired future goals or results? How can we measure individual and team accomplishments beyond typical KPI’s and ROI’s?
As many of you are already positioning for Q1 of next year, and wondering how successfully you can accomplish your goals with leadership, talent, and the working environment that you have. Some of you are very enthusiastic, some concerned, and some of you are simply looking elsewhere to apply your skill set.
During my year-end review, I have realized that many of you made this year an exceptional year for me on a personal and professional level, for which I am deeply grateful. Thank you for all of your support, great feedback and conversations, and more than anything, the opportunity to learn from each one of you! I feel very lucky to be part of an exceptional company with an excellent culture and values, Slalom Consulting. The caliber of high performing, smart, driven, and creative people capable of solving the most complex issues for our clients with ease makes every day especially rewarding and satisfying.
Further, my reach and impact in the global leadership community would be impossible to achieve without BIZCATALYST360.COM platform under the watchful eye of Editor-In-Chief, Dennis J. Pitocco, a recipient of the New Media Institute 2016 “STANDARD OF EXCELLENCE” AWARD.
Through the client advisory, executive coaching, and consulting line of work, it is critical to successfully position for the needs and demands of leadership and high performing talent on a regular basis.
Why? Without the right skill set and mindset, desired results will be impossible to reach, despite all the greatest and latest technology in place.
The biggest challenges for many organizations going forward will still be around identifying and implementing effective ways to:
– Engage and retain top leaders and high performing talent
– Grow leadership from within the company
– Minimize the leadership skill set gaps
– Increase leadership deficit in critical roles within the organization
– Create an environment for high-performance impact for individual and team contributors
See Where You Are vs. Where You Want to Be: High-Performance Impact
– Increase diversity and inclusion in addition to innovation
– Create consistent customer satisfaction, increase loyalty and overall new customer growth
Does this sound familiar? For many of you, this would be an “old” issue that keeps coming year after year in different shapes or forms.
Why should you care more NOW than ever before? Due to increased leadership deficit in critical roles within organizations, there is a deficit in the end results, both tangible and non-tangible. This noticeable shortage of leaders, especially of the female leaders, ranging from politics to sports, are significantly compromising overall team and organizational performance and its impact.

Ironically, by focusing on increasing customer satisfaction, without increasing talent working satisfaction, creativity, and innovation, it will not produce the desired results however hard you and your team may have tried. It is time to adjust not only your shared strategy and vision but also your game with the right players and coaches on your team!
Massive success to you on your transformational and high performance leadership journey in 2017!
