It can be very problematic to try to get a hiring manager to give you his or her feelings about your candidacy right on the spot. Some may give out “signals” as what they are thinking or are easy to “read” but you should never try to force a decision or give feedback. You are putting them in a very difficult situation which may increase the chances of rejection. You as the candidate have to make sure the hiring manager knows in no uncertain terms how YOU feel about the opportunity BEFORE you leave the interview.
