I love mentoring. And I like it more when I grow through the process as well. Mentoring is important, and like with every other tool there is a good way to mentor and a bad way. I like the song from the “Jungle Book” movie.

Louie will never ever be human.
I’ve worked with some that went really gun-ho as a mentor or mentee so it’s very easy to not be cautious about limits to mentoring. Know the limits, know your limits, and mentoring will lead to an exponential force multiplier.
