Independent Fruit

I like Grapes better than Oranges, but if I get Apples instead of Strawberries the Pineapple won’t mind if the Lemon doesn’t squeeze between Lime.

Papaya can dance with Blueberries and blend with Raspberries too.

Bananas mix with Peaches and Cherries bring juice with a clue.

Cantaloupe share the canvas with Plums and Honeydew.

Mango and Apricots hang from the ridge, while Grapefruit lives solo inside the fridge.

Coconut, Nectarines, Kiwi, and Pears; Tomatoes are fruit too, yet nobody cares.

Watermelon seeds spit into the air.

Independent Fruit is everywhere.

My Poetry, Photography, and Journals hold treasure from grade school to high school to adult school, which I'm still attending ... just waiting for the final grade. Each layer of life reveals a new truth and with age, it becomes apparent that time is my greatest rival. My hope is to reflect with words and pictures that offer comfort, insight, and wisdom for a life well-lived with peace and tranquility in the end.
