What do you believe the spirit of Christmas can teach us?
Please add to this list:
To be charitable and give in the spirit of Grace
Love and kindness towards each other
Tolerance of everyone’s perspective on life and their beliefs
To be thankful for all that you have in your life
To spend time with the people we care about
Forgiveness
As I reflect on the last year I think how fortunate I am to have met so many wonderful people. Kind, compassionate, giving people. My thanks to each one of you for blessing my life. Some will agree, others will disagree, but the truth remains and that is that LinkedIn brought us all together for a Reason. I believe this platform is not just for business, but for networking and connecting to people all over the world.
We all have gifts, talents. and passions. When we share these gifts with others, we allow the magic, creation. and life to inspire us, heal us and teach us. Life can touch so many for the greater good if we think of others. Whether it be in our daily communications or how we react to each other, being mindful of others is important.
Some things in our lives are so painful that they remain in our hearts and minds for a long time after. I have learned more than ever this year, to be patient with others. Turning off the “forgive” button has been a difficult process. I pray for understanding and grace in the areas where I am struggling so I can be more patient and forgiving. I pray for those who have hurt me, so that they may receive the mercy and grace they need.
Through the twists and turns in happiness and sorrow, there is something to be thankful for every day. While this year was a challenging one, it reminds me that each day is a gift that I can be thankful for. It’s how we choose to use that gift that determines the difference we make.
Sometimes life can be dark. I am sure I am not the only one who has experienced it. But I also know that where there is darkness there is light. When we respond from the eye of God’s presence within, where peace and wisdom dwell, we emerge, stronger, wiser and freer. Focus on the light because light is the gift that is transformational.
Let Every Day Be Christmas
Christmas is forever, not for just one day,
for loving, sharing, giving, are not to put away
like bells and lights and tinsel, in some box upon a shelf.
The good you do for others is good you do yourself.
Peace on Earth, good will to men,
kind thoughts and words of cheer,
are things we should use often
and not just once a year.
Remember too the Christ-child, grew up to be a man;
to hide him in a cradle, is not our dear Lord’s plan.
So, keep the Christmas spirit, share it with others far and near,
from week to week and month to month, throughout the entire year!

From my home to yours, I wish you all a Merry Christmas. May you all have more love, happiness, good health and success today and every day thereafter. May we all be showered in God’s blessings each day and find the true meaning of life. Enjoy this blessed season.
As we bring in the New year, may we remember that ALL life matters, plant life, animal life, human life. Cohesion is about the whole.
Suzana, I enjoyed your article and have to agree that each day needs to be Christmas, if we understand the beauty and meaning behind what Christmas means, not gift giving necessarily, but giving of ourselves despite the trials, ups and downs throughout our life. If a living soul takes everyday a day of not a “good day”, then there is much missing each day of their lives, as in my opinion, they are focusing on negative, not positive. I love Christmas because of the Child Jesus, and I think of the reason behind the gift giving. Thank you!
Thank you Lynn, I appreciate your feedback and am happy you enjoyed. People that know me, know that regardless of “bad days” I am a positive person who finds good in everyday that I am given. Merry Christmas to you and yours and all the best in 2017 and thanks again. 🙂
