If I could turn back time or change the course of events, you know it would be my heart’s desire.
To spend another lifetime together with you would be my dream and greatest request; walking amongst the trees once again hand in hand, relishing each step as life all around us, some hidden and some not, watch with smiles broad and longing as we walk by.
To walk along the many shores we’ve yet to find, breaking the waves as they roll up on the sand around our feet, your hair gently lifting in the breeze, while our hearts entwined, speak.
Oh, if I could take the pain and hurt of this world away, to quiet all the world’s noise with the sound of your voice. If only to hold you once again for another day, it would be so nice.
To while away the days in your presence until the evening when another sunset we would watch as though our first. Lost in the moment, our hands, eyes, and hearts locked in eternal bliss. If for just one more time, we could do this.
To stand looking out across the water, with no place else to be but there, quieting all of the world’s noise with the sound of your voice, if only to hold you once again for another day, it would be my prayer.
