  1. Good general advice as far as it goes. However, I would add the footnote that not all crisises are created equal and not all require the same course of action. If the building is on fire it is no time to worry about sharing power or having a committee meeting to study the options. The leader must instantly transorm into an absolute dictator. Okay, that kind of a crisis doesn’t happen every day, but you get my point that different crisises call for different measures. All generalities are fraught with flaws, including this one.
