A DECADE+ OF STORYTELLING POWERED BY THE BEST WRITERS ON THE PLANET

WE DON'T DO IT ALL, BUT WE DO IT ALL "FOR GOOD"

BE PART OF THE LEGACY

TAMPA BAY • FEBRUARY 23-24 2026

This FINAL encore experience will be unlike any other. Because like everything we do, it's been "reimagined" from beginning to end. It's not a virtual or hybrid event. It's not a conference. It's not a seminar, a workshop, a meeting, or a symposium. And it's not your typical run-of-the-mill everyday event crammed with stages, keynote speeches, team-building exercises, PowerPoint presentations, and all the other conventional humdrum. Because it's up close & personal by design. Where conversation trumps presentation. And where authentic connection runs deep.

How Startups Can Attract Reputable Employees

When starting a business you want to hire employees who are wonderful and willing to work hard. You don’t want any job candidates, you want the best of the best for your company. There are a lot of job candidates out there and it can take a really long time to find the right new hire for your company.

To cut this time down and make the hiring process easier for you there are certain things you can do to make things less stressful so you are not going through resumes and cover letters for hours on end. Each company is going to be unique and have their own needs and requirements but there are some basic guidelines every company can follow to find the right candidates for their company.

Here are 5 things your company can do to find amazing employees:

Job Postings

This is going to be one of the biggest ways you attract potential employees. If your post is not accurate or super outdated this is going to steer smart candidates away from your company.

Make sure your job postings are professional and that they have been edited properly. You expect your candidates to have great resumes and cover letters so your candidates will expect the same from you. Something as small as a typo or misspelled word can instantly change someone’s mind about applying to your company.

Communication

If you have been hiring employees or offering internships for a while, you may start to notice that your company has some reviews on different social media sites. Look at these ratings and reviews and take them seriously. If you notice trends, whether positive or negative, throughout several reviews you may want to make some changes about your company.

You also want to practice effective communication with your potential employees and job candidates. Word of mouth is a powerful tool and people will tell others about their experience applying to your company. Slow responses or no responses are not the best sign to job candidates and can leave them with a poor opinion of your company.

Feedback

You want to make sure that you are getting feedback from employees on a regular basis. Also, peer to peer recognition is a good thing to incorporate into your business and can really set your company above others that you compete with.

Keep in mind that you will have to humble yourself a little bit before getting feedback. If companies do get the feedback they will sometimes glance over it or simply toss it to the side saying that their company can’t really be that. This creates a negative environment and will not attract great employees.

Create a Vision

Job applications know that a major part of the interview process is selling the best version of themselves to the interviewer. The same should go for the person who is interviewing the candidate. If you do not have an accurate vision of where your company is going and what it is doing, employees and potential hires will notice.

So create a solid vision for your company. This should be reflected in your brand and how you run your company. You do not want to create a vision and sell it to potential hires but have your company be something that is completely different.

Change When Necessary

Your company will hopefully grow and make some major changes. This means that how things are done and how operations run will eventually change and evolve.

Keep in mind that it is okay to make changes, especially when they are for the betterment of your company. This may mean implementing new software, timekeeping, rules, and even company culture. Be flexible and understand that change is necessary for your company’s survival.

Getting the best employees can definitely take some work and effort but it does pay off in the long run. What are some ways that you get the best job candidates? Comment below to start the conversation!
