Understanding the mind-body connection is vitally important in sustaining a healthy life. To have a healthy, vibrant body, we must eat and drink certain foods rich in vitamins and minerals.
But are we consciously aware of what is needed for a healthy mental state? Besides the foods we eat, what else do you do for your mental health?
In this week’s Mindful Moment, be aware of your thoughts. Ask yourself the following questions:
- Are the thoughts I direct toward myself gently, loving, and compassionate? Are they filled with judgment and criticism?
- Are my overall thoughts positive in nature? Or more negative?
- Do I incorporate thoughts filled with gratitude and appreciation regularly?
When reflecting on the above questions, try to do so with curiosity and no self-judgment.
Our minds are just as important as our bodies. Please treat your mental health with love and respect just as you do for your body. Your mental health deserves your love and attention.
I quite agree I have to be good to myself stay positive and be grateful. Positives self talks help alot.
