In this “new world ” of division, having friends is the greatest step to unity in this country, the United States of America, and the world! Dear Mark, I agree. Genuine friendships carry us through the most traumatic of times. Family is key to closeness and support, but friendships are special as they are not automatic; not through genes, but created out of interaction, like-mindedness, kindness and generosity of spirit.
There is a lot going on in the world today, but as you say, ‘compassion, respect and love’ are key to delivering potential emancipation. Natural and genuine kindness is also essential, however challenging it would be.
Creating empathy with anti-vaxxers? The last words spoken by an anti-vaxxer in the UK, was to spread the word that he was wrong. Perhaps seeking forgiveness?
