How Does One Take Over A Country?

Vincent Viewpoints Header-vincent-kenWell, there seems to be several ways to take over a country.

Some of the more popular, at least the more common are; Invasion by another country; A military coup; and A revolt by the citizens. Of course, all those tend to be a bit bloody, ugly, and at best uncertain. Plus, taking over the country and keeping it are totally different issues. It is one thing to gain control of the government, but quite another to gain control of the hearts, minds, and actions of the public. We have seen that issue played out in Iran and Afghanistan.

Then there are the way (s) outlined by Marx, Lennon, Hitler, and others. What I would call the “quiet coup”. It takes longer and it isn’t as bloody, and when successful it lasts a lot longer. How does one do that?

Well, according to history and many writings it follows a path of this sort:

    • Establish a bureaucracy to do your bidding;
    • Take control of the education system and start dumbing down the students;
    • Take away the ability of citizens to defend themselves;
    • Turn the citizens against all law enforcement entities and agencies;
    • Weaken the military and fire any top military persons that don’t agree with you;
    • Use federal tax money to dictate to states and cities, establishing all rights at the federal level;
    • Get control of the legal system so that any documents giving people rights can be softened or washed away;
    • Import people from other countries that are willing to do your bidding if you support them;
    • Use the welfare systems to make it more profitable to not work than to work;
    • Inject those imports into the welfare system to totally overload it;
    • Create safe cities where the illegals can not be extradited;
    • Expand the safe city concept to universities;
Foster hate between ethnic groups, religious groups, racial groups, and any other divides than you can find (Divide and conquer)

Then, most importantly, take unpleasant terms out of the language and replace them with innocuous sounding terms.

Examples could be:

  • Replace Pro-abortion with Pro-choice;
  • Terrorist changes to Motivated by Extremism;
  • Illegal alien becomes Undocumented Resident;
  • Merry Christmas is offensive to some of the “Undocumented Residents”, so use Happy Holidays;
  • Welfare becomes Entitlements;
  • Then throw in “Under Employed, Homeless person, and other non-negative terms (The options are nearly endless.).

Does any of this plan sound familiar?
