For the first 39 years of my one shot on the planet, I lived a lie, not intentionally, just a conditioned, Western story of individualisation and disconnection. Today in the modest of global systems breakdown, I see opportunity, connection, and remembering of our true nature. Time to leverage that remembering of connection to self, others, and systems at large collectively is critical as we seek to heal the planetary systems on which we rely.

Good stuff – now what?
Hi John, I am curious what the now what may be for you as I believe, as it has been for me, that we can only do our own inner work and realisation and from there, hopefully our now whats result in a desire to intentionally join the dots systemically in a way that we have been actively taught not to historically in the West.
I continuously struggle between the privileged spot that I inhabit and the knowing in my body that my very ways are directly and indirectly causing harm many thousands of miles away, so my personal now what is to try and embody vulnerability, generative listening, hold space for folx in my sector and beyond to connect head and heart and hope that that we may inspire and wave a flag of re connection that could over time tip towards the emerging obviousness that we are all so much more than the socialised stories we have been sold, thereby making very different decisions.
Thanks again for taking the time to watch and feedback.
PS – if Pauls experience is anything to go by, there are increasingly more people that want to do this deep work but feel paralysed to do so. https://youtu.be/gxWOLVqjmWs
Thanks, Garry.
I appreciate that you took a tack into ‘stories’ and away from ‘lies.’ My parents (as well as teachers, textbooks, and so on) gave me a pile of false or misleading stories. As a friend of mine noted, “Our parents couldn’t teach us anything they didn’t know.’ Also, ‘the winners write history,’ so we get skewed information all the time. What I’m after here is that, though some of what is spread come from agendas or malice, much of it is simply unexamined. My duty is to be consistently skeptical – including of my own BS.
The bottom line for me is not blame, but a simple formula: If we didn’t buy the crap, no one could sell it. Right?
thanks for taking the time to watch and offer such meaningful feedback Mac, I appreciate your additions. Your reply resonates a lot, if we didn’t buy the crap, that really is the point, both physically and metaphorically and now we really do have the opportunity co-create new stories. So much work to be done yet so much opportunity too, thanks again Mac for sharing.
