My next tip is to build your own community, and withdraw a little from social media. Your business should certainly have a social media presence, but your marketing strategy shouldn’t lean on it too much. There’s a lot of emphasis on social media marketing in the modern day. Once you’ve built up a niche group which you’re interacting with often, make it even smaller! If all goes well, your business will rack up countless social media followers and online community members. After this, you’ll have the freedom to shave off your most loyal, influential customers and give them special treatment. This niche should be those customers who really care, and are always happy to receive updates. To make the experience more personal, you might want to try different tactics, like SMS marketing. There are a lot of companies which will offer you an SMS gateway, which will allow you to draft and send promotional texts from a computer. Again, make absolutely sure you have the permission of all your recipients!

With these three tips, you’ll bring your interactive marketing gracefully into the modern day. While customer interaction is healthy for business, make sure you’re not harassing anyone. There’s no problem with innocent, engaging promotion that fits with your brand identity. Oversaturation, on the other hand, will only drive business away!
