“Gratitude is the fairest blossom which springs from the soul.”
–Henry Ward Beecher
Whenever I am in a state of gratitude all the world’s problems fade away. The essence of life’s purity and goodness seeps to the surface. It washes away the negative energies, the side of polarity that seems to gain our attention.
The heart’s blossom is from the nectar of our inner being. A part of us that is forever seeking peace and tranquility, both in the depths of our knowing and the external of our existence. The noise of the masses can drown out the quiet of the heart, leading us down a path that can be rough and crowded. But we have the choice to redirect our path, at the crossroads of life, we can stop and reflect.
Thanksgiving is just this time.
Taking a moment or a day to let go of the past, be in the now and consider all that you are grateful for and give thanks for the life you have in the present. For this is what we really ever have, each moment in which we can co-create and design to our liking.
All of our ideologies, beliefs, assumptions, perceptions, and understandings can be put on hold long enough to breathe in the blissfulness of the heart’s desire. To feel this magnificent embrace is like no other feeling in the world. To experience the exhilaration of the boundless love wrapped in gratitude is freedom.
As we move from one year into the next with anticipation, intentions, hopes, and visions remember the reason for living. It is a blessing to have the opportunity to see the beauty in nature, to hear the laughter of joy, to savor the taste of freshly picked berries, to smell the morning dew rising with the start of a new day, and feel the expansiveness of being.
May you find renewed strength, be inspired, and follow your dreams.
Namaste….
