We all receive messages and sometimes even receive floods of them.
What messages stand out and keep in your heart?
Some messages walk out as soon as they walk in.
Few messages last much longer. What makes them special?
These questions popped up after receiving a message this morning from my friend Dennis Pitocco
His message reads “Just a word of thanks for your many (56) insightful articles contributed this year, my friend. Your wisdom shared, coupled with your masterful engagement sets a high standard for so many to follow. We appreciate you and wish you a JOYful holiday season”.
The message overwhelmed me with its passion and friendly appreciation. It lasts deep in my memory because it makes me feel joyful.
The message provides me with the assurance and support to continue writing.
It also shows me who is a good friend. Remembering me being so busy to thank me is the joy of having a caring friend.
The words of the message charged me emotionally to write this post. It has the power to trigger me to transform my passion into action.
A message loaded with the power of emotion lasts.
Watch your words because they have the power to make people feel great or bad and demote them. These are the messages that last. Which one you want people to remember you with is your choice.
It is a time for you to make the holiday season joyful for others.
Thank you my friend Dennis for your inspiration, kindness, and above all making me feel great.
There are some messages I will hold onto, in order to pass along as an example of educating. I know that the tongue can be as sharp as a sword both verbally and in words. Good article and I agree that BizCatalyst360 is a platform that allows confidence to grow in writings!
Well-said Lynn and we have a saying here that the wounds of words can be deeper than those of swords.
BTW_ for me your comments are treasure to keep for long times with their “durable” truth
Yes, Dennis does pay attention to what goes through his platform.
I do hang on to some messages and comments. They are great for the days when I forgot why I am here and think the world is a sewer full of – to use Alan Culler’ wordsmithery – “male bovine excrement”. They are reminders of all the good people who are supportive, playful, loving, thoughtful – and oh, I will spend time with some of them on Thursdays…
Cheoltte- you are one of those people who “are reminders of all the good people who are supportive, playful, loving, thoughtful “
Oh, Brother Ali,
What a great message! I’d save that one for a long time.
Words do have power and those are some great ones. We all owe you a debt of gratitude for your thought provoking words, and to Dennis Pittocco for creating the BizCatalyst 360 pllatform and sharing your words and others.
All the best
Alan
