What a coincidence to read the same day two telling stories about flying without wings and the great wisdom both posts offer.
The first post written by FATIMA WILLIAMS Is a poem in which she wrote:
“I keep flying without wings
With blessings from grateful hearts!”
Grateful hearts make us fly without wings. The question is what grateful hearts can do?
The second post authored by Elena Gabor is about a wingless bird that could not fly. This bird was walking around happily feeding on tree fruits. All the other birds started to mock the wingless bird “that she is unworthy, that she does not fit the bird standards, that she doesn’t deserve to be called a bird, that she is hopeless”. The bird felt helpless and wanted to leave. While she was leaving a majestic tree talked to her:
“Where are you going?
Just look around and see all the beautiful trees and fruit bushes which grew from the seeds of the fruits you ate over time!
All these trees and fruit bushes are here because of you. Do not leave.”
This gratitude filled the heart of Fatima and made her fly with her wingless heart.
It is not about what we cannot do. More, it is about what we can do well whether we are on land or high in the skies.
You shall fly with your wingless hearts by serving humanity and making other peoples’ lives worthy.
I don’t know if one can feel the sensation of flying without wings, but for me the personal sense of satisfaction in knowing that you have a decisive role in helping those in need is unmatched.
When we make others happy then we feel like flying with the “wings of joy” Aldo.
What a lovely story, Ali and Elena.
I could lament not being able to sing opera. But I am sure I can do something else. And I doubt a life in hotel rooms touring would fit my temperament, anyway. Alternative realities always come with the whole package.
So grateful I am to you Charlotte for it is like a whole paxkage of appreciation
What a great post Ali Anani! You truly have the ability to share profound wisdom in a concise way!
I wish I had your ability to elevate peoples’ souls as you do Leticia.
Thank you for your heartfelt appreciation
