When the winter blahs set in, many people dream of taking a vacation and traveling somewhere warm and inviting, but many people these days work two or three jobs just to pay the bills. That doesn’t leave much money for travel, even if you could schedule a vacation when you have that many balls in the air. The next time you are searching for vapor online stores, try doing a search on jobs you can do while traveling. There are lots of ways to work from anywhere in the world.
Getting Started
Aside from traditional travel-related jobs, like flight attendants and cruise ship personnel, most jobs that give you the freedom to work from anywhere are based on the internet. The most important piece of equipment for earning money this way is a laptop computer. As long as you have that, you can work out of coffee shops and internet cafes anywhere there is a connection.

Some jobs that lend themselves well to this kind of lifestyle are the following:
- freelance writing – This means completing writing projects for clients. They might include blog posts, product descriptions, press releases, ebooks, reports or any number of assignments that people need to be written. You can also sell articles to magazines and newspapers on the places you visit. Two for one!
- tutoring – If there is a subject you are very good at, you can take jobs tutoring online. Teaching English as a foreign language is a very popular form of online tutoring.
- virtual assistant – Help people organize their lives. This can mean setting up schedules, making travel arrangements, making phone calls, and any of a number of other activities people need to do to run their daily lives. The busier people get, the more they are happy to turn some of that work over to an assistant.
- au pair – Travel to a foreign country and take care of children. This job is essentially that of a nanny, but au pairs are usually from another country and take the job in order to see some of the world. This kind of position means staying in one place for a while, unless your employer travels with their children, but contracts tend to be of short duration, so you can make some money and then travel.
- social media coordinator – Companies, brands and celebrities hire people to take care of their social media accounts. This means regular posting and monitoring comments. If you are social media savvy, this might be a good fit for you.
With a little forethought, you can find a job that will allow you to see some of the world. Pack your bags!
