My Finger Painting Days of Youth have slipped into a swirl of ocean blue.
The creative splash of color has changed into a brand new hue.
Those Days of Magic Wonder bring Gratitude to the page.
I look into the Wilderness and see a bit of Sage.
Who am I to question this life or magic stage?
I simply need to reflect and turn back to the page.
The page where life was simple and I didn’t have to question.
I lived a life unlimited with playful imagination.
Deep inside the shadows is where I lay my head.
Within a crevice of my mind are memories of books I’ve read.
I traveled far and wide on the pages written there.
I lived a life of adventure without a simple care.
I didn’t need to question who I was within the spine; I was the participant of everything divine.
Back to watercolor swirls of magic in the air; beautiful creations that minutes before weren’t there.
Like these words now pressed to paper for everyone to see; this watercolor hue is who I’m meant to be.
Here is my enchantment where butterflies float with spotted wings.
Birds sing in the morning with gifts that freedom brings.
A slower pace of living from that once lived before; yet strength and determination have bolted the old door.
The takeaway from this is to take nothing for granted as it comes; for life is a book of numbers with a limited balance of sums.
Larry, my friend, thank you so much! I haven’t been writing as much as I used to. With Autumn on the rise, hopefully I will find time and inspiration.
Love this my friend. Great message my dear poet!!
