Dear Fellow Bizcatalyst 360° Authors,
First of all, before I begin my new post, I would like to say to all those who inspire others every day with your writings, “Thank You”, and I am happy to be a part of this great platform for writers. I wish I had the chance to read every single post, but it is impossible, so I do my best to catch up when I can, and certainly try to comment on those I follow regularly. I also appreciate those who comment on things I write. With that, let me begin.

When I look around this world of ours today and see so many of the challenges that have come about, ie; the Coronavirus, the breakdown in faith in God, the persecutions that are happening all over the world for just a simple idea of believing in our creator, who is the Eternal Father in Heaven, I wonder, what lies around the corner?
Recently, a picture of a young man posted on FB, a young seminarian student living in Nigeria was executed because of his faith. He is one of many that are being executed for what they believe in. Police Officers are killed in the line of duty because of their uniform and what they stand for is offensive. Firefighters are killed in fires started by an arsonist, a deliberate will to destroy. A young woman on a college campus is assaulted because she believes in free speech and fights against abortion, Military men and women are being killed as they fight for the freedom they believe in, and the list goes on,
Many today do not want to hear or read about God. That word seems too offensive. God has been taken out of the schools. Kids can’t even pray prior or after a football game, “giving thanks”, yet refreshing as it could be, when Kansas City Chiefs won their Superbowl title after 50 years, they gave glory to God and right away were chastised for doing so.
Knowing that life is not easy, our suffering can be given to us in many ways. But where I find peace is in my belief that God is in control, we are not, and that the ideology that we can be like God, or find something else other than God to replace HIM, so as to bring pleasure and desire of what we prefer, is heartbreaking for me.
I have friends that don’t believe in God as we know Him through Scripture, and I have friends that don’t believe that anything is waiting for them once they have passed on from this world. I don’t dismiss them. When we talk and share our thoughts, they know mine, and I leave the rest up to them, I work on loving others as God asks us to with a Christ-like heart. God gave us “Free Will” to choose to live a life of trusting in HIM and doing the Will of the Heavenly Father, or not to.
As a police officer who worked the streets, who worked undercover assignments, who thought about the possibility of death often, each time I put the uniform on, I found peace in knowing who my Savior is. Even now, as I am isolated from my two adult children, and grandchildren, I find peace knowing that the one who created me loves me more than I could possibly understand and that in itself gives me peace. It gives peace to know I can ask HIM to watch over those I love and to open their hearts to the true love of Christ.
Whatever your thoughts, know that we can find peace in this crazy dysfunctional and chaotic world if we cling to what we know in our hearts which is love as it is given to us by the Eternal Father.
These are my thoughts and I push them on no one, but I express what I feel, thankful for being able to do so, and knowing that I will always look to HIM first, as I continue to find peace in today’s world.
If you don’t run on God – our creator; you will run on empty for sure! He built us to run on Him alone but that “Free Will” thing will always have some of us accept other things or people or ourselves to run on – an ultimate “break down” occurs on our path to perdition.
