Forever trying to fit in
Never quite managing it
Alone in a room
vacant from view
Friends that once were
were never authentic at all
Popularity yearned
Lacked fluidity, often inconsistent
With age comes wisdom
The choices we make
Create the circles of tide
Aligned acquaintances
replace the old with the new
a deeper frequency
transforming the inner workings of you
Life takes us forward
Whilst the journey expands
Yet the circle tightens
Before we land
I love your analogy @Chaflotte thank you for sharing!
This so matches Dennis observations on the Frinedship Bench on Thursday.
In culture theory we talk about peaches and coconuts: the peaches are easy to get to know but hard to really, really get to know and the coconuts are not easy to make friends with, but once you are in, you are really in.
Thank you for your insight, and valid distinctions from The Bench as I remember it. Thanks again for the reminder.
Thank you Larry. Much appreciated.
Shara,
I absolutely love this.
