I’m living my life as an escapade.
Train full of chained up ghosts on parade.
Adventure of doubt around every bend.
Sending the secrets off to pretend.
‘Dangerous fool’ they say behind back.
Whispers of sadness for all that I lack.
Perspective is gaining momentum and traction.
Leaving behind a life without action.
Mist on the lake is proof not to speed.
Peace and tranquility is all that I need.
Count every penny to give me this chance.
Living in space where the coyotes dance.
Stars of the night forming maps to the ship.
Paper now burned to coins on the flip.
Ruby red slippers sink into the fog.
Sandcastles linger where young people jog.
Wisdom provokes the need to prepare.
Yet each has their own journey to there.
Taken for granted those good days long past.
My life will rewind in the tangled web fast.
Days pound away without my permission;
never shall I know of the final mission.
Wood is rotting from that bridge.
Never again will I own a fridge.
Chilly bin with melting ice
shall trace the river back to nice.
Whirlpools suck away the school of knocks.
In between, I will gather tiny rocks.
How many lessons will it take to forgive?
Hand me the ticket to the train where I live.
Forget about this world of pain.
Rainbows bring hope to the escapade of rain.
