"I define connection as the energy that exists between people when they feel seen, heard, and valued; when they can give and receive without judgment; and when they derive sustenance and strength from the relationship. " –Dr. Brené Brown

quality engagement welcome"it all about relational diplomacy"

Common courtesy and common sense pretty much sum up our approach to comment moderation. But for those who may need a bit more clarity ⤵︎
WE DO welcome comments demonstrating respect, empathy, support, and understanding. In other words, rich adult conversations –wrapped around the notion of real engagement and real relationship-building. Ask questions, dive deeper, seek clarity, etc.
WE DON’T welcome comments that would reasonably be viewed as completely off-topic, mean-spirited, argumentative, dismissive, offensive, insulting, harassing, threatening, abusive, vulgar, obscene, defamatory, racist, promotional, or spammy. Disagreement is fine, so long as you aren’t disagreeable. Critique is OK, so long as it is constructive. And yes, if you break the rules, we’ll ditch your comment and send you a professional courtesy caution. Break ’em again and your open door for comments will be closed. Meanwhile, if we happen to miss a comment that you think breaks the rules, please let us know and we’ll take a closer look.

"We don’t always have to agree, but we do have to recognize that a vibrant community is comprised of diverse perspectives and the true value we get from “community” is learning from perspectives that may differ from our own."
