There was a sage who had apparently realised the truth about himself and the world around him. Every day he would sit in front of the ocean and meditate. During those moments, seagulls would fly fearlessly around him and play. At times, these birds would even sit on his shoulders.
One day, a little boy who was playing by the seaside came and asked him, “These birds play so freely near you. Will you please catch one and give it to me?”
The sage agreed, as it was a small boy’s request.
Guess what happened the next day!
When the sage meditated on the seashore, the seagulls flew well above his head. Not one bird came near him. The birds could sense his intention from the energy waves he exuded.
How many of us have experienced meeting somebody with great credentials, yet somehow there is a sense that the person can’t be trusted? Or someone is smiling, yet we can sense the pain or sadness behind the smile.
We are sentient beings who sense others’ intrinsic energy, beyond the façade. Interestingly the converse is also true.
“How many of us are really present to the role energy plays in our life?”
We probably understand it as a concept, yet are we present to its enormity? Every thought we have is energy, emotion is energy, every movement is energy, growth is energy, our responses are energy, metabolism is energy, anxiety is energy, love is energy.
Quantum Physicists have discovered that atoms are made up of vortices of energy that are constantly spinning and vibrating. That means we human beings are also made of energy and vibration, radiating our own unique energy structure.
If you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency, and vibration.
—Nikola Tesla
Buddhist and Hindu teachings have long been telling us that everything is energy dancing in form, and that the dance is a continuous weaving of the form and the formless. Now scientific research is also telling us the same thing.
Each thought, emotion, and feeling vibrates at its own unique frequency and radiates its own unique energy pattern. We may focus on our life skills, body language, and articulate the right words, but it’s our energy field that touches the energy field of other people. Our energy introduces us before we even speak.
The exact same words spoken with a different emotion and mindset will have an entirely different impact on the other. It is therefore imperative that we understand the phenomenal energy dynamics of Emotional Intelligence.
Learn to be present to your emotions and feelings.
“Emotional Intelligence is the most precious resource we have.”
Let me ask you my favorite question.
“Would you like to struggle to make things happen?”
OR
“Would you like to focus on your energy and let things just happen in your space?”
Dear Rita. When I noticed your article come up, my energy informed me to read it; and I”m so glad that I did. Every word resonated with truth. Thank you for sharing your abundant insights. 🙏🙏
