emotional_intelligenceI had the great pleasure of interviewing Dr Melinda Fouts recently. Melinda brings 20 years of experience and knowledge as a business coach and psychotherapist and unlocks untapped potential in her clients to help them achieve the results that they seek for personal and organizational advancement. Her unique approach to leadership development uses enhanced emotional intelligence, self-awareness, and a better understanding of the obstacles that lay ahead to career advancement as well as organizational and personal success. She is a member of Forbes Coaching Counsel and works internationally, be it face to face or via electronic communications methods.
In the interview we discuss how Emotional Intelligence is a vital element of any senior executive’s capabilities. An awareness of our “go to” style in times of stress helps us maximise our strengths and minimise blindspots as leaders. Since much of life as a leader involves working under pressure, Melinda’s work is vital in ensuring our agility and creativity.
