A recent neuroscience study exploring how the brain engages in creative work, reveals that flow, or being “in the zone,” the state of blissful consciousness, can be achieved by consciously releasing or reducing cognitive control to allow creativity to flourish.
“Letting go”, a foundational principle in mindfulness meditation practice, is central for an optimal creative state of flow to be reached and maintained.
To elicit flow, we have to intentionally create the space for it. A mental, emotional and physical environment that is conducive “to see what else is possible”.
The realms of possibility and opportunity are inherently connected with untapped potential.
Harnessing change is part of any growth’s journey; it is the gateway into new experiences that open to new, effective ways of attaining the desired outcomes.
The essence of the creative process is to let go of the “knowing” mind construct, to shift into the dimension of wondrous curiosity, allowing for new insight to surface, to be explored and eventually embraced.
Unlocking organisational potential ties with fostering human centred dynamics where processes, systems and approaches are harmonised, to synergise with the change effort.
This is a dimension of expansion, where intentional presence and empathic listening weave in with collaboration, experimentation, authenticity, safety and trust, to synchronise the shared purpose, build resilience, and activate ownership, transforming the relationship with adversities.
How comfortable are you at the idea of letting go of the “I know” and embrace instead the “What if” and “Where from here” ?
To shift from change to transformation, we steer the dialogue (inner and outer) in a direction that invites in openness, to a space where we promote collaborative problem solving.
The creative process is by all means a human centred endeavour. Ideas and solutions arise as a result of channelling the creative energy into a collaborative pursuit.
It is not about the ‘I’ versus the “We” rather the integrative process that is built around a shared vision, shared values and a common goal.
