The azaleas are getting buds of red, white and some seem almost pink. Working in the garden, digging in the soil, raking out the leaves and weeding the intrusion weeds.
The garden gives me a sense of doing something that has healing properties.
I watched the birds as they scratch the new soil finding worms and insects. Time seems to slow down when I am in the garden.
Perhaps the calming work done in the garden does relax us with feelings of contentment and wellbeing.
The midday sun chases me from the garden where I sit in the shade of an ancient oak tree drinking sweet tea and reflecting on the morning s work.
Soon spring will gift me with flowers of all colors and reward my digging in the soil with breathtaking beauty.
