Creating something is an experiment. The results of which have no designed outcomes. There may be a vision of what is wanted to achieve. But, that vision, even as you support it, may not achieve what you thought. This is beyond beautiful if you have the courage to embrace it. Because, this experimenting, is how we learn. And so much is to be learned when we create.
- We learn to listen to our deepest being.
- We learn to let what is created be a part of the process.
- We learn to support our authentic self as it expresses itself in what we create.
- We learn to trust our vision.
- We learn to love creating for creation’s sake.
- We learn to remove expectations.
- We learn to accept and allow the opinions of others.
- We learn to appreciate the journey of life mirrored in creating.
- We learn to understand the power of our mind to imagine.
- We learn to see how much is learned in the act of creating.
- We learn to follow our curiosity.
- Of course, this list of what we learn is infinite.
Life, in essence, is an experience of not knowing what will happen. An experiment to find out who we truly are. Creativity is a great way to explore this grand adventure.
This Experiment that happens moment by moment.
A friend and trainer once told me: “we must understand that the future is not the present part two, but something profoundly different, something that requires a radical change”. I find this concept very enlightening and often prophetic; reality, social, economic, work, changes very quickly and, to keep up, we cannot do without a creative approach.
Aldo, thank you for these insights. I think of it as the Future Now, my version of what your friend said, “not not the present part two.” Humans simply create all the time making it a part of all things in the moment and what is created ripples into our future. If we embrace our agency in it or creative power as a human, we experiment with our existence in beautiful way.
Thank you for being interested in my post. I agree with your considerations.
