Your emotions are always about your relationship with your desire and nothing else. If the emotions are contracting, like, guilt, fear, or anger, to name a few, you are not in alignment with what you naturally want to feel, which is good.
Your job is not to ignore or suppress it; instead, turn to it, allow yourself to feel it, and accept it as an emotion you are feeling. It does not define you. Recognize feelings come and go.
Please do your best to accept and allow the emotion and witness it instead of being entangled with it. Then from this space, try to create a better feeling thought, encouraging resilience. It doesn’t have to be a giant leap to happiness.
For instance, it can be a feeling of courage to move out of this paralyzing emotion. Or it could be a feeling of acceptance of what is and releasing the pain of wishing it was something different.
This better feeling thought, and emotion is far better than beating yourself up for having the initial emotion in the first place. Such a subtle shift helps create a better feeling thought, and a better feeling thought follows another.
The key is tuning into what you are emotionally feeling. Self-awareness of your emotions is vital in creating a life you design instead of living a life of default.
