As consumers, what are our strategies and intentions when we shop looking for discounts? To better understand consumer expectations about quality and bargains related to consumer goods and services, we surveyed 2,000 American’s to learn more about their shopping habits. Our takeaways:
- Consumers cared least about quality when shopping for (Manicures, Pedicures, tattoos,Bikini waxing and other beauty services)
- Consumers cared most about quality when shopping for (condoms, car repairs, electrical repairs and other professional services related to our health and wellbeing)
- Consumers bargain shopped most for (clothes, cars, toilet paper and smartphones)
- Surprisingly enough, income was not a main factor when looking at consumer preferences for both quality and bargaining.
