Running
Breathing
Layers
Legs tingling
❖
Core covered
Face red
Gloved hands
Warm
❖
Wind blows
Intensifies
Sweat cold
Clinging
❖
Seeping through
Layers of skin
Resting on
The bark of
Bones
❖
Mist on
Mountains
Shining With
Water
Leaves flattened
In a splattering of
Red, deep red,
Eggplant, yellow, gold and rusty orange
❖
The leaves all belong
None takes another
For granted or wishes another harm
They form a blanket,
A rich, diverse tapestry
Nestling the earth, soil,
Puddles and birdbaths.
❖
May people be like leaves
Forming a human quilt
Of loving kindness,
Dignity, respect
A warm embrace
For all that is
Sacred and
Moving in the
Cold rain.
Very nice . I really liked its message.
Thank you, Johnny!

Laura! Where did THAT one come from! Gorgeous.
Thank you, Susan! From the depths of my core as I’ve uncovered a poet’s voice here in the mountains of soul healing and safety. So thrilled you enjoyed it. 🙂
