Clearing Storm

God, thank you for the calm,
where there used to be a storm.

Rain has brought the rainbows
and soon the flowers bloom.

Fog that looms through night
shall dissipate by noon.

Robins toddle along
to forage for each worm.

Sun provides the heat
to soak the puddles dry.

Sandy shores have welcomed
each family by and by.

Wind brings frothy waves
mixed with laughter from the boat.

Rich tails of cat o’nine
dance firm along the shore.

A dance of summer magic
strums music into air.

Life begins to loan
a laugh without a care.

Hold precious hands as close
as fingers grow between.

Magic once held softly
shall wash away to dreams.

My Poetry, Photography, and Journals hold treasure from grade school to high school to adult school, which I'm still attending ... just waiting for the final grade. Each layer of life reveals a new truth and with age, it becomes apparent that time is my greatest rival. My hope is to reflect with words and pictures that offer comfort, insight, and wisdom for a life well-lived with peace and tranquility in the end.
