Chorus of Feathers
making art in the sky.
Magical swirls changing swift;
as hues of sunset wave goodbye.
The musical yearn as if to say,
‘Please stay, please stay, give us one more day.’
Though time it ebbs
and night twinkles through.
Winter moon crisp
whispers ‘goodnight’ to blue.
For nothing remains
in the shadow cast of time.
Wings are clipped
with the nursery rhyme.
Dashes of memories
clash with present and real.
Just one more layer
of life to reveal.
Feathers of hope mix with cry to return,
to where the heart beats with constant yearn.
Travels may offer permission to there,
yet the dance must continue to anywhere.
Dance away, dance away
through crystal ball of light.
Bring strength to the wings
and continue this flight.

Larry, my friend, you are awesome! Thanks for the strong ink approval! That means a lot to me! ☺
Beautiful! You had me hooked from the first lines;
Chorus of Feathers
making art in the sky.
Magical swirls changing swift;
as hues of sunset wave goodbye.
I love photographing swirls of feathers in the clouds changing swift as hues of sunsets…
Char, thank you. I am glad I had you hooked from the beginning! I love photographing clouds, the moon, nature in general and it’s definitely a source of inspiration with my writing!
Very beautiful imagery created here Cindy! Stunning and enjoyable Thank you for this
I want to stay in the nursery rhyme….”… after harshness in life clipped it away…when I grew it back…I’m here to stay”.
Paula, I love your additional prose. Yes, I too want to live in the nursery rhyme where days were fun with plenty of time. Thank you for your pleasantries! I appreciate it!
