I feel your pain. Fighting inhumanity with inhumanity, pure anger will result in more inhumanity. Be the bigger person. If you see someone struggling with their humanity, i.e.acting like a beast, model compassion, be strategic by aligning with those who can inculcate change rather than spinning your wheels with “emotional splatter”. When we judge and shame as a result of being judged and shamed, it’s just emotional splatter. Lean into your anger in a way they don’t harm you or anyone else.
For me, that means:
- Taking 24-48 hours to do something physical exercise,
- Decluttering my storage area in my house, etc.
- Nourishing my mind with better i.e. staying off social media and more time in prayer and nature;
- Self-medicating with nourishing foods, fruits, vegetables, and home-cooked foods.
When we come from a place of love for our own humanity it’s less of a stretch to see in others.
In this video, I talk about exploring the latter as a way to self-nurture and replenish.
It’s always best to start within Cordelia,
It’s great to see this empowerment in you. Thank you so much for being a promoter of love and hope.
