For those who “know a lot” yet continue to be frustrated.
You know so much
So informed, so in touch
Why does it escape you?
So quick to show others…
you teach and reveal
Why is it you’re the one you won’t heal?
Did you know you could?
Did you know it was real?
So convincing to others
To all but yourself
You’re the last to take notice
The last unread book on the shelf
Oh sure you know a lot that’s your claim to fame
But it’s nothing more than an intellectual game
Why do you resist?
Why don’t you believe
You’re the one to achieve?
Still that part of you that doesn’t quite believe?
It’s all there for you just waiting to see
It’s yours for the taking when you choose to be
Do you see yourself as unable to succeed?
Does this make you unable to proceed?
Your self-image
so small yet so dam wrong
Tightly held and cherished for way too long
You know so much
Yet believe so little
Why you don’t see it is sure quite the riddle
You know so much
It’s all there for you, if you would just embrace
The simple truth if you would dare to face
There’s one knowing I offer to leave
The struggle would end if you would only BELIEVE
