Become the Magic!

The movie, Out of the Past, with film legend and one of my all-time favorite actors, Robert Mitchum has many memorable quotes, one-liners, and bites to it.  It is a classic film noir movie filled with quick wit, a femme fatale, a handsome leading man, moody music, and all the fashion and wide-shoulder trench coats you can handle.

The dialogue created magic and chemistry between the characters and also helped to create the sensual tension in some of the scenes.  One of my favorite quotes is below.

It was meeting her somewhere like the first time. There was still that something about her that got me – a kind of magic or whatever it was. I held her and we could laugh because we were together again. We’d played it smart and forgotten nothing. Forgotten nothing except one thing. He had followed her.

I love the fact that Robert Mitchum’s character said there was ‘something about her that got him- a kind of magic.’ Magic is the perfect word to describe what happens when you become a great seducer.

The more magical you can appear to be for someone and keep creating that magic over and over again… the better chance you have to keep the romance burning stronger and stronger without the flames ever dying down.

Successful long-term couples know the value of “keeping the magic” alive.  There are so many ways to keep things fresh long after you say the “I do’s” and the new car smell has faded away from the relationship.

Longevity doesn’t have to be a Seduction killer… rather it is one of the best catalysts there are for being able to get comfortable with your partner and reveal all things that make you who you are … Being able to be truly authentic, safe, and comfortable in your own skin is one of the cornerstones for building the bridge between passionate, smoldering, long-lasting romance and a romance that isn’t set on cruise control and isn’t boring.

Don’t let your relationship go on auto-pilot with the cruise control set… Make your relationship a priority.

Make keeping the magic alive in your romance priority number one each and every day… Your partner will surely feel the effect of this energy and pixie dust in the air.  So use it to make fun new memories, laugh more, and spend more quality time with your partner just enjoying them.
