“Barbarians at the Gate” —no, I am not talking about the 1989 book about CEO F. Ross Johnson’s failed leveraged buyout of RJR Nabisco.
Nope! Gumshoe thought that this title of “Barbarians at the Gate” was appropriate to today’s events with the added imperative, “Give them the Key!”
To be sure, Antifa, BLM, leftest anarchists, Hollywood elites, fake media news outlets (empty talking heads) along with outright Marxist academia have hijacked the righteous indignation of the brutal and savage murder of Mr. Floyd to forward their destructive agenda. God bless Mr. Floyd and his be grieved family.
The other “useful idiots” (leaders of the far-left Democratic Party) have emboldened these groups by openly supporting the incredulous idea of defunding (and in some cases abolishing) the police. Great idea! Utopia awaits! Rainbows and lollypops! Zippity-do-dah!
Why not defund and abolish our military while we’re at it?
Yes indeed my fellow citizens, give the barbarians the key to the gate – the “gate” is the police; that “thin blue line“ that protects the innocent, the most vulnerable, the weak, the old, and the young. All of us and even them!
The future “911” line will immediately connect you to “dial a prayer” when you or your loved ones are in imminent danger of life and limb. Sort of like calling the suicide hotline and then being put on hold? No cure for stupid! “Let us pray”.
While the keys to the kingdom are surrendered to these barbarians, those of us with the God-given rational sense (of whom recognize what is good; what is right; what is beauty and what is truth) are called to reject these destructive siren calls to perdition and to defend against this incarnate evil in all its disguised forms.
Remember that Satan was described as the most beautiful of all angels. His fallen vainglorious nature made him the father of all lies!
Don’t believe a word!
Stupid is as Stupid does, “Quote from Forest Gump” so true. Well done!
Amen!
Thanks Ken. Stupid comes in all shapes and sizes. I thank God to know the difference – just like when I worked the streets; “You can’t protect people against themselves”.
Still no cure for stupid.
Oops! See above your pithy comment for my response Ken.
