Award or Reward: What an Abstract Fuss?

While I am in the lap of nature, listening to the song of birds and bees, I wonder what Chemistry plays the key role to produce such mellifluous sounds to soothe me with utter overwhelming happiness and refresh my mind with renewed energy to thrive? Even a reaper when singing while he is engaged in his hard manual work to plow the field, from where he gets such intriguing energy to overwhelm us with his humming tune? What Chemical energy transforms into such amazing sound energy and eventually enables him to yield to facilitate myriad with their staple food, the only source for many for their survival on Earth as mortals? A matter which cannot be seen or perceived by the majority, but its potentials to yield positivity to usher mankind to explore in nature’s floor is utterly an amazing affair!

Sometimes we could comprehend even from our speech or language which itself evolved in respect to time and space with finesse, though it is not tangible, having huge potential to create a new matter or accelerate the process of transformation for a new matter to emerge from its existing state with a transformed entity and we human merely can envisage it out of our sensory organs and accordingly give a nomenclature, as we human alone has the capacity to name a matter out of our unique capacity, unlike other creatures in the floor of nature to give a name to a transformed entity.

So, out of the entity, we can envisage and determine a matter by virtue of our sensory organs and accordingly our sensory organs, which are comprised of the intricate relationship with the external world and our internal configuration. I wonder how it has been uniquely aligned for centuries-long to form a state which bears eloquent testimony of a striking thing that it is the “Change” that is only constant in our mundane world.

I would like to share a story I am familiar with which I came across a long time back and it still has an indelible mark on an insignificant cerebral of mine.

There was a Scottish farmer whose name was Fleming. One day at work in a field, he heard a cry for help. Following the sound, Fleming came to a deep bog, in which a boy was stuck up. Fleming pulled the boy and eventually saved his life. The next day a carriage arrived at Fleming’s farmhouse. A well dressed stepped out and introduced himself as the father of the boy whom Fleming saved. “You saved my son’s life,” said the man to Fleming, “How can I repay you?”

I don’t want any payment, It was my duty to save a life who was in danger” Fleming replied. At that moment, Fleming’s own young son appeared at the farmhouse door. “Is he your son?”

“I don’t want any payment,” Fleming replied. At that moment, Fleming’s own young son appeared at the farmhouse door. “Is he your son?” the man asked.

“Yes,” said Fleming proudly.

“I have an idea. Let me pay for your son’s education. If he is like his father, he would grow to be a man in the future for which we both will be proud of,” And so the visitor did. The farmer’s son later became the world-renowned Nobel Prize-winning scientist and discoverer of penicillin, Sir Alexander Fleming. It says that many years later, the grown-up man who had been saved from the bog as a boy, later became a victim of pneumonia. Penicillin saved his life once more. He was Sir Winston Churchill, who was equally awarded the Nobel prize for literature, a statesman of distinction till date.

We constantly strive against nature unknowingly out of the reflection we receive from the external world.

Two phenomenal prodigies in the different soil, in terms of their social status and different social ambiance with two different mothers, but both had suffered the same pain of giving birth to a baby. But their social status determined evidently out of their different economic ability which usually navigates the livelihood of the overall development of the people. Our brain too develops and act out of the impulses we receive from our external world we confront and the ambiance we are accustomed to where the reflection being produced by nature on our cerebral impact largely to our sensory mechanism and accordingly we reveal as an entity in the society we are living which is unlike other creatures in nature who have no society as such like a human in nature’s floor. Our brain too evolves in the passage of time and comparing to the man of the ancient age, we are extremely developed as we alone made an ambiance in and around us amenable for our living. We constantly strive against nature unknowingly out of the reflection we receive from the external world.

From my depicted story at the beginning, a rich father acted as an agent for pollination and enabled to thrive a bud to bloom with vigor, fostering with due care to endow Alexzander Flaming like a scientist to emerge. He acted as an agent to endow a rare prodigy and perhaps unknowingly served mankind. I only wonder, how many are being ignored, not nurtured and cared to flourish and simply allowed to fester out of society’s existing design which only enables to flare up with malicious intentions and construe a nefarious configuration to promote malignancy in an available social fabric we are dwelling.

An idea derived from my brain is a sheer fallacy. It is the human society, no longer craftwork of nature, where a conscious effort of human brain evolved this society since time immemorial and it to follow this evolution process, primarily based on production by the productive force and unequal distribution of wealth, where majority’s contributions is largely ignored, fomenting and engendering all strife and bloodshed to manifest which we are experiencing by following the pages of world history. Production, unequal distribution, creation of wealth, and hegemony of a few wealthy communities are the foundation of all anomaly is prevailing in our present global society.

Plants, animals, and other invisible creatures have no such society as humans have. They exist as nature’s gift and construe an ecosystem for all creatures along with humans to exist with distinction. But, we humans are beckoning our own jeopardy out of our greed and causing mayhem to our entire ecosystem which will surely destroy the lyre we humans alone devised, so that we may ultimately no longer produce any tune to satiate our souls. I guess that doomsday is no longer perhaps not far from now.

Our days are becoming numbered out of our own insane-like attitudes being driven by sheer caprice, aiming to garner wealth for a few nefarious communities, who hardly care and respect whether it is reward or award. Despite both are abstract in nature and being translated by money by human’s own equation to uphold and applause one to segregate from the majority, but it is the majority who eulogize and script them as a cult, as they never show their ungratefulness to those souls, who rendered their services and dedicated their lives for the majority. Award or reward cannot make one an icon. Only quality of them, which has the potentials to transform into quantity, making them an axiom to follow for many, even after centuries to follow.

I Debasish Majumder, hailing from Kolkata, State: West Bengal, Country: India, born in a middle-class family in the year 1965 and brought up in an environment extremely favorable for me to garner knowledge from people from various walks of life. Their lives and livelihood are of immense gravity to me as I considered myself as a fortunate one to be facilitated to interact with those who possessed multi-faceted experience and thrived vigorously in their respective fields. Since my schooling as well the path of my studies till I completed my graduation in humanities and thereafter working in various organizations has enabled me to get hands-on experience about the twist and turns of life where I observed the plight of myriad who are economically vulnerable and how they combat the life and even capable to enjoy the every drop of it without complaining about their state. Since my childhood, my passion for the English language and English literature enabled me to explore the world in and around me out of fabulous authors and their valuable renditions which even unveiled front of me the true picture of nature and how it is now confronting peril out of greedy few sharks in the veil of few humans obliterating the very essence of humane! Their works encouraged me to pen down articles, short stories, and poems with my little ability and I have already had a number of paperback editions of my compilation of short stories and poems which are now available on Amazon and other global sites. My alacrity for learning regarding nature as well the society along with the people who are considered as the most precious imperative for us to be enriched. I am blessed by innumerable notable thinkers and philosophers whose works appealed to me enormously, and even helped me to shape up myself by virtue of their expressions. I am having little capacity to translate the reflections of the present society, precisely for the acumen of a myriad of learned persons who have helped me to widen my vista with their wisdom and wide array of knowledge. My sincere effort was navigated by those enlightened persons and I tried with my best of ability to reflect on the scenario I have observed in the journey of my life.
