Ed Smith

Ed, an innovative and accomplished leader, possesses extensive expertise spanning various domains, including IT, Cybersecurity, mechanical/electrical devices, computers, and Social Engineering. His current primary focus revolves around refining his skills as a Renaissance Technologist. In this role, he ensures that AI, Active Inference and Robotics initiatives align with business objectives, address biases, uphold security standards, and proactively address errors, particularly focusing on Reinforcement Learning from Human Feedback (RLHF). His adeptness in developing and maintaining IT hardware and software products, combined with his executive-level international business management and sales acumen, has played a crucial role in facilitating numerous business turnarounds, especially within smaller and startup companies. Ed is well-known for his problem-solving skills, particularly when resolving significant IT challenges that defy conventional methods. He has a proven history of building top-tier teams for both global organizations and smaller start-ups. His career milestones include rapid progression with IBM, Control Data Corporation, and Bell Atlantic/GTE, where he established successful organizations and led turnarounds in both sales and technical departments. After receiving the highest technical award, Ed was tasked with forming Crisis Management Teams at CDC. As an International Crisis Manager, he has effectively addressed critical issues in major accounts worldwide, including CERN. He has further honed the Crisis Management methodology to include high-level Cyber Security, successfully applying it to the creation and utilization of Rapid Response Teams. Ed resolved a military crisis, he acquired a comprehensive, cost-effective, adaptable, and disruptive Cybersecurity software solution, developed for the US Navy and currently in use in a Nuclear facility. Ed is also involved in his Ageless Role Modeling Program, designed to improve intergenerational communication and to expand and integrate his experience and knowledge into Robotics and AI implementation.
