Having worked at every level on the corporate structure from stock clerk to Vice President it could be easy to think the experience has provided all the answers to every potential situation. The truth is it does not. There is so much talent at all levels of bringing experiences from other organizations, fresh ideas from university, and just being too brilliantly naïve as to believe their idea might just improve things in some way that there is always something new to learn.
Thanks for adding your invaluable “wisdom” of experience here, Rick.
Mental attitudes play a crucial role in our growth and change in general, while a static and fixed mentality that wallows in the inertia of mobile sands is a major obstacle to achieving any goal. Fixed mindset is a situation where one does not consider likely to change aspects like mentality, creativity, beliefs. The growth mindset is rather typical of the people who are able to accept challenges, are focused on personal growth and continuous improvement, embrace failure and try to learn to improve, believe they are not born with all the talent but to develop them they understand, finally, that everyone is able to develop their skills. This mentality also affects the relationships, the professional success: people with a growth mindset have much better results.
