A book is made from a tree. It is an assemblage of flat, flexible parts (still called “leaves”) imprinted with dark pigmented squiggles. One glance at it and you hear the voice of another person, perhaps someone dead for thousands of years. Across the millennia, the author is speaking, clearly and silently, inside your head, directly to you. Writing is perhaps the greatest of human inventions, binding together people, citizens of distant epochs, who never knew one another. Books break the shackles of time–proof that humans can work magic.
― Carl Sagan

If you’re a writer, your first duty, a duty you owe to yourself and your readers, and to your writing itself, is to become wonderful. To become the best writer you can possibly be.

Oh wow! This sounds like what I need… I torture myself with anxiety these days worrying more about the how to do, over the actual manuscript. I know I want to publish a book(S), people have asked for them. Poetry with my story…poetry without.. poetry that is my story in pieces…. I get discouraged easily these days and know the struggle doesn’t have to be that way. I’m working on it
This eases my mind as the trust factor is also a huge one when it comes to online and being independent as opposed to just a part of others….
Thank you Dennis 🙏🙏
Wonderful, Paula – I hope these resources serve you well, my friend!
This is so helpful Dennis and I am certain many will benefit from it. Continuing to make Bizcatalylst as strong as it can be no doubt.
Thanks, Lynn – our focus continues to be doing whatever “good” we can do for our talented writers, like you!
Thanks for sharing this Dennis. With my poetry I’ve gone through a means of self publishing with both Amazon and LuLu.com. I have gone through two dif publishers for this method. The end results were satisfying to me. Expecially when I had my first book in my hands. 🙂 The lady I write for that has the Wildfire Mag. works with people on poetry books. If you would like then info of what she charges let me know. I havent used her because I already had another friend showing me the ropes on self publishing. But she is also a graphic designer and designs the covers.
Thanks for sharing your experience here, Eva Marie. We welcome introduction to any of your trusted resources via LinkedIn or directly via [email protected].
I’m not an aspiring book author and possibly not even a writer, but I know some of the important components that go into launching a book. I’ve heard from every author that writing the book is hard. Marketing the book is grueling.
Dennis, thank you for sharing this
Our pleasure, my friend!
